The Spiders Came Out

The spiders came out to decorate last night.
In the dark they wove

their finest cotton and lace

And draped it over shrubs

and lampposts

and trees.

They adorned it
With berries of red

and leaves of green and gold.

For kicks they tossed it in the grass

And nestled it in trunks of trees.

The spiders came out to decorate last night

And Mr. Heron was there to see it all.
